Lake Merced is fully virtual again

Updated 7/3/2020 at 11:41am PST

While Lake Merced was thrilled to be able to meet again in person on Sunday, June 28, recent language in San Francisco's health orders have meant that we need to resume our gatherings in a virtual environment. We take seriously the safety and health of our members and while the building will remain closed until further notice, we continue to remind you and encourage you that the Church never closes and the work of the Church persists.

Beginning Sunday, July 5, Lake Merced will resume online services exclusively and will continue to make our services available at 10:45am, both on Facebook and YouTube. We'd love for you to worship and praise God with us at that time.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send an email to questions@lakemercedchurch.com.

God's Richest Blessings,
Josh

captive in 2020

Lake Merced set out this year to speak a message of unity and community. As you well know, 2020 had other plans and most of us have spent months sheltering-in-place. Our vision may have been interrupted, but the Good News of Jesus, nor the life of the church ever is. The Church is still alive and active in our community.

Throughout this pandemic, Lake Merced has been looking at what it means to be a people of God in a captive or exiled reality. God's people once were carried off into captivity much like we have been forced to shelter in our homes. We believe these messages are timely and will bless you as you process this COVID world we live in.

church life at Lake merced

Lake Merced Church of Christ strives to do three things excellently. Our three asks or three pillars of Church life center on Sunday Worship (Sundays @ 10:45am), Home Groups, and Discipleship (groups of 3-4 people). We believe that people grow in community. Jesus worshipped in the Synagogue, in homes, and in close relationships with twos and threes. We believe the smaller we go, the more we grow.

We Love Because Christ first loved us

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. - John 15:13
